Into yoga or acupuncture?
I now it's the new thing right now. What has your experience been like?Some say its diabolic, its part of the " New Age Movement" which is against what the Bible teaches and goes back to hinduism. There are many types of yoga so if you practice it, i would like to share some info i found on it. Should i add yoga to my workout routine?
yoga 30minssitups crunches weight lifting 40 minsdance aerobics 40 mins 1 hourrun 20 minsfast walk 20 mins.so far i've lost 9 pounds in 6 days D by doing these exercises w o yoga , eating mostly protein and drinking more than 8 glasses of water a day. i really want to do yoga cos i want to be more flexible and i think it will make me more energetic and keep my body from bein sore after a hard work out. what do you think? is it ok? i'm not tryin to over exercise, i don't want that, i just do what i can. if i know i can do more i would do it and i think adding yoga to my workout routine won't harm me, i just need to know what you think? and i want to know if it will help keep my body from feeling sore after exercing. i workout everyday from sat thurs and rest on fridays. i know it's bad to workout everyday esp when you are sore but the soreness is usually gone in the morning IDK but i think it's because i eat lots of protein w c helps my body recover heal fast ? and HA if i know my body can't, i wouldn't force it. but it hasn't happened yet as i'm always energetic and not feeling sore before i work out.situps crunches weight lifting 40 mins NOT STRAIGHT, halt of the time i'm resting lolz

Knee strain when doing forward folds in yoga?
Whenever I do forward folds in yoga I get strain at the back of my knees. Especially when I am doing seated forward folds. It seems the strain mainly comes from me trying to keep my legs straight flat on the floor. I like to think I am reasonably flexible and am maybe doing something wrong?

Indra Devi, author of many books on yoga suggests that with yoga:

clearer and calmer mind. You will learn how to build up your health
and protect yourself against colds, fevers, constipation, headaches,
fatigue, and other troubles. You will know what to do in order to
remain youthful, vital and alert, regardless of your calendar-age;
how to lose or gain weight; how to get rid of premature wrinkles,
and keep a smooth skin and clear complexion."
Doing yoga regularly offers many benefits, including making you feel
better about your body as you become stronger and more flexible, toning
your muscles, reducing stress and improving your mental and physical
well-being.
Will it help you lose weight, though?
